Who we are
ClaimCanada is operated by Tibbs Monitor (sole proprietorship, Longueuil, Quebec).
We are a finder for class-action settlements, unclaimed money and product recalls; members pay a subscription for matching, a personal report, claim checklists and deadline alerts.
WE NEVER FILE CLAIMS FOR MEMBERS and we never collect or hold claimant funds.
What we collect
What we actually collect and use:
- Account data: email address and a hashed password.
- Profile data: the member gives us in the questionnaire: province of residence (current and past), the categories and life events they select, the brands they select, and their matched results.
- Consent records: whether the member agreed to the Terms, and separately whether they consented to marketing email, each with a timestamp. Marketing email is never sent without that separate consent, and every marketing email carries an unsubscribe.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. We keep the subscription and transaction records Stripe gives us (plan, amount, status, renewal date).
How we use it
We use these data for:
- To match the member to settlements, registries and recalls.
- To produce their report and checklists.
- To send the alerts and reminders their plan includes.
- To run and secure their account.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who processes it for us
Service providers who process data for us:
- Supabase (database, hosted in Canada)
- Stripe (payments)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Vercel (website hosting)
What we never do
We NEVER sell personal information. We never give a member's personal information to advertising or affiliate partners; partner reporting, where it exists, is aggregate counts only.
Your rights
Canada: PIPEDA and provincial laws including Quebec Law 25, BC and Alberta PIPA: members can ask for access to their information, correction, deletion of their account and information, and withdrawal of marketing consent at any time, by writing to support@claimcanada.ca.
Some transaction records must be kept where the law requires it (tax and accounting).
Security
Hashed passwords, encrypted connections, access limited to operating the service.
Changes to this policy
If the policy changes materially, we email members before the change takes effect.
